This is an updated version of the slides and images posted with my History Of Millhouses. I have taken the opportunity to identify the location ( and in some cases the date) of each image, and intend to add further (historic) images as I can find them.
For those interested in history, I recommend the excellent 'Archive Photographs' books of Abbeydale and Millhouses edited by Peter Harvey. Mr Harvey has had a column in the Sheffield Star for as long as I can remember.
In order to save space on the server and to speed up the page access times, I have reduced the resolution of the images to be optimum on an 800x600 screen. However, higher resolution versions of these images are available f.o.c to non-commercial parties - please e-mail me. click here for e-mail
This set of web pages was done as an exercise in html programming - please let me know if you have any problems.
